About Puneeth

A man with curly hair, beard, and jewelry sitting cross-legged in a yoga pose outdoors near a body of water, with trees and a thatched structure in the background, under a cloudy sky.

Puneeth was born near Mysore in South India and grew up surrounded by spiritual traditions. Influenced by his family’s devotional practices and his mother’s path of Bhakti yoga, he began engaging with meditation and pranayama at a young age.

His teaching is rooted in the traditional systems of Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa, passed down through a lineage of teachers in India. He approaches yoga as a path of discipline, honesty, and deep embodiment, not only as a physical practice, but as a way to move beyond suffering and reconnect with what is essential.

In his work, Puneeth brings together a wide spectrum of traditional practices, including asana, shatkriyas, pranayama, mudras, bandhas, and yogic philosophy. Through this, and with support from breathwork, he guides you back into a direct relationship with your body, your breath, and your inner steadiness.

Over the past decade, he has shared his teaching internationally, working with students from different cultures and backgrounds. He is currently based on Koh Phangan in Thailand, where he offers classes, private sessions, small group experiences, and retreats.
